More specifically, your work was reviewed by an assigned Professor from Almeda’s respected faculty, Wald Carum, Ph.D. The following summary represents his evaluation:
William Michael King’s assembled works are meritorious to award him the degree of Ph.D. in Psychology. His various works submitted for his dissertation, which are briefly described, clearly demonstrate a breadth and depth of knowledge about its subject that can only come from a truly accomplished psychologist.
Drawing upon both scholarly sources and personal experience in his dissertation, Dr. King clearly and precisely sheds a fresh light of insight on “The psychodynamic consequences yielded from imprinted belief systems (in groups-tribes and individuals).” This dissertation he originally developed and successfully presented in another academic doctoral program circa 1982. Dr. King eventually embedded an abbreviated version in [his] publicly published book entitled "Atheists Can Get To Heaven" (2008), intended to open minds of readers by promoting controversy.
Dr. King also includes for our doctoral consideration and evaluation several other impressive documents, including: a) a series of “dialogues” regarding (and expanding) the work of Carlos Castaneda as an exploration of tribal thought during the Meso-American (Toltec) period of culture to application in current psychological approaches; b) glowing testimonies of his work as a mentor; c) various book reviews posted on Amazon.com indicating the response of readers to his attempt to inspire minds to open; and d) three of his (more than 30) publicly broadcast interviews discussing his work and theories.
Although I am familiar with many approaches in psychology, Dr. King’s work — especially his dissertation/book and his dialogues -- are fascinating and illuminating reading. I applaud Dr. King for his excellent efforts, for which he richly deserves his doctorate degree from Almeda University.
